SOUND & IMAGE CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2019 is a short film festival that celebrates in Macau the latest and groundbreaking local and international short films and music videos, submitted to the international competition SHORTS and VOLUME of 2019.

10th SOUND & IMAGE CHALLENGE aims to grow into a benchmark in the realm of Festivals of its kind. The two competitions target films directors, producers, professionals and aspirants not only in the film industry but also in the music fields.

Festival Venue

The FESTIVAL is going to take place at the iconic historical building the Dom Pedro V Theatre in Macau, China. All cultural activities and screenings are scheduled from 3 to 10 December, 2019. More details will be announced.

Short Film Competition

SHORTS awards the best short films in the categories of FICTION, DOCUMENTARY, and ANIMATION worldwide, motivating local productions and encouraging overseas productions to compete in Macau. It is aimed at professionals in the field of audio-visual as well as novice entering the industry.

Music Video Competition

VOLUME is a music-video competition promoting Macau original music to worldwide filmmakers to compete in Macau. Filmmakers worldwide participating this competition have to produce an MV based on one Macau original music/songs.

Poster Design Competition

FESTIVAL POSTER  is for everyone with qualities regarding imagination, innovation, aesthetic, creativity and technique on artistic creation. Participants are free to use any method in the design and graphic arts practice to manifest a great visual communication. The winning poster will become the most critical part of branding the FESTIVAL. The IMAGE of the winning poster will be widely broadcasted to promote FESTIVAL.
