Village in the Sky

In the village of Aagaswadi, Mann Maharashtra in India, the youth is forced to abandon home for city life, leaving behind the old and children. With neither sufficient drinking water nor proper facilities, Bhimrao digs a well to quench his own as well as his farm’s thirst.

Ramesh Holbole did a Master degree in Marathi literature from Fergusson college, Pune. He was an editor of literary magazine Aksharvel and he is now a 3rd year student of film direction and screenplay writing at Film & Television Institute of India.

Saya is a traditional play, by the youth in the 17th or 18th of January every year in Karaman, that heralds the spring, embellishing the stagnant winter days, a great transformation fun.

Burak Doğan, born in 1992 in Samsun. After receiving the scholarship of Bahcesehir University Faculty of Cinema and Television, he studied and made sports documentaries broadcast on TV channels. His documentary “A Whistle Comes From Far Away” was screened in many festivals and won awards.

In Budapest, Bappy, a student, from Bangladesh encounters his neighbor, an older man Bela from WWII, who becomes his friend. Their vague communicate in German let them understand each other’s pain and worries.

Nuruzzaman Khan has received a bachelor degree in Media Studies and finished his studies in Documentary Film Directing at the joint master DocNomads with Erasmus Mundus full scholarship. His works include first documentary film “Chicken Fox” (2016), “Men with No Name” (2017).
