Mahdi Fleifel, a Danish-Palestinian film director graduated in National Film & TV School, UK in 2009. He is the co-founder of production company Nakba FilmWorks. His film “A Drowning Man” was selected for Cannes Film Festival 2017, nominated for a BAFTA in 2018 and won Best film of the festival in Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2018.

Through the 215 windows I saw in the past 7 years when I lived in 5 countries, in 7 cities and in 16 houses, I could see immigrants, couples, lost: some read, some play, some sleep, some learn to walk the balance beam, they come in, they go out.

Akvilė Žilionytė, a young Lithuanian film director, obtained an M.A. in Film Directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2018. Her first short documentary “The daytime is not for me” premiered in Hamburg International Short Film Festival 2017 and screened in many places.
