Winner of the prize BEST FILM OF THE FESTIVAL and BEST FICTION of Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2016

Detsky has worked as a director and editor for the BBC, Channel 4, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. His short films have won several awards and prizes. In 2006 Peace of Mind won 1st Prize at the ITV Cobravision Awards. How I Learned to Love Richard Gere received the Caroline’s Comedy Emerging Talent Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival, 2008. Morgengrauen (Slither) won 2nd Prize at the Going Underground Film Festival, Berlin, 2008. The short film Down Under won 1st place at the 20th Century Fox Sehnsucht Australian Awards. The short “90 Degrees North” has been screened at over 60 Film Festivals, won over 22 awards and was nominated for the European Film Award in 2016. This short won, in Macau, the prizes ”BEST FILM OF THE FESTIVAL” and “BEST FICTION” of the festival “Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2016”.

Detsky is currently developing his feature film debut and working on a series of short documentaries for the Open University BBC in Berlin as well as in production for another viral video for Smoke Alarms.
